Retro Night

Why not plan a retro night? This is an entertaining way to jazz up your next dinner party and wear your best vintage attire. Start by deciding on a theme. You can find décor from your local thrift stores for any time period that you may choose and you can even encourage your guest to come dressed the part on the invitation.

I have a great recipe (1950s style) that will be super easy to serve your guests!

Chicken a la King
3lb Chicken Breast, cooked4 oz Mushrooms, sliced1 Green Pepper, de-seeded & sliced1 stick salted Butter1 tablespoon Plain Flour1 cup Chicken Stock1/4 cup heavy Cream

Boil Chicken for 30 min, cool then cut into large chunks. Sauté the mushrooms and Green Pepper in the Butter until soft; Stir in the Flour and Stock. Bring to the boil. Add the Chicken and cook until the Chicken is hot. Add the Cream. Serve with Boiled Rice. Serves 4.

Serve with a classic drink from the 50s
